Who’s the player: The company’s instruments are crafted for professional touring and session bassists who need maximum tonal versatility and ergonomic reliability. They are the choice for discerning players who want a vintage feel paired with modern boutique performance. MARIO GUITARS HONCHO
SADILAH HANDMADE GUITARS LIL’ BURQUENO
Why it’s awesome: Mario Martin has been building guitars for almost 30 years. He founded Guitar Mill and shortly after started offering his own custom guitars, mostly for the Nashville, Tennessee, pro player scene. Martin sources the raw lumber, and each piece is built in his shop, 30 minutes from Nashville. No bodies, necks or finishwork is sourced out. Everything is master-built by Mario and his small team. The Honcho is the ultimate workhorse guitar, perfectly blending the two most famous models. Who’s the player: Although Mario Guitars offers more models and more options, the Honcho is built for players who don’t want to carry multiple guitars around. This model will achieve the tones and diversity that players, such as Randy Houser, John Osborne and Ben Flanders of Ella Langley’s band want and need for both their live and studio performances. Why it’s awesome: Every Lil’ Burqueno is a compact, powerful guitar. This particular one is special with its Buckeye Burl top and gold hardware. According to owner Chuck Schlesinger, “You won’t find a lighter, more well balanced instrument on the market that just feels right!” Who’s the player: Depending on the pickup and bridge configuration, this instrument is ideal for any genre of music. Whether outfitted with single coils for a familiar sound or amped up with a set of humbuckers or P90s, it’s a guitar for players looking for a “true extension of themselves” as a musician and artist. In its most simple form, the Lil’ Burqueno, with a single pickup and hardtail bridge, can get your creative juices flowing. Who to contact: Chuck Schlesinger, Chuck@sadilahguitars.com
