VOX VALVETRONIX VT20X, VT40X AMPLIFIERS

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Valvetronix series, Vox has released the new VT20X and VT40X guitar amplifiers. These ampli- fiers are designed for players who want the authentic feel of classic tube amps with the flexibility and precision of advanced digital design. The VT20X and VT40X Classic Blue models are a bold evolution of the Valvetronix concept. Their all-new modeling algorithm recreates the analog circuits of some coveted tube amplifiers at a circuit level rather than relying on simple tonal snapshots. This deep level of modeling lets musicians adjust gain structure, switch between Class A and Class AB operation, and fine-tune the amplifier bias in real time. {voxamps.com}

FENDER HOT ROD DELUXE 30TH ANNIVERSARY AMP

Fender’s Hot Rod Deluxe has long been a common stage and studio amp, known for its clean headroom and straightforward channel layout. This 30th anniversary version keeps the same 40-watt platform with a few component and cosmetic updates. It’s a 40-watt tube combo with three channels: Normal, Drive and More Drive. The amp uses a light- weight pine cabinet and a Celestion 12-inch G12M-65 Creamback speaker. The preamp has been updated for clearer note definition on the overdrive channels, and the built-in spring reverb has been ad- justed for a smoother response. This version also adds black western covering and a vintage-style brown and gold grille cloth. {fender.com}
