AKAI PROFESSIONAL MPC SAMPLE Akai Professional has launched the MPC Sample, its most accessible standalone sam- pler to date, bringing the MPC workflow to a portable, battery-powered device designed for creators of any skill level. Inspired by classic MPC systems like the MPC60, MPC Sample lets producers sample, chop and build beats anywhere, with no computer required. MPC Sample is built for creativity wherever inspiration strikes. The compact device fits easily into a backpack, making it ideal for beatmaking on the couch, backstage or on the go. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to five hours of continuous use, while a built-in speaker and internal microphone let producers capture ideas without additional gear. {akaipro.com}

PMC SPEAKERS MAIN MONITOR SERIES

PMC has unveiled its all-new Main Monitor Series models. Marking the company’s 35th anniversary, this launch represents PMC’s first complete reinvention of its main monitoring systems in more than three decades and the most substantial advancement since the range was last updated 10 years ago. The latest designs advance every aspect of monitor perfor- mance, including driver technology, system architecture and software control. The Main Monitor Series has launched with four models — the PMC10 (pictured), PMC12, PMC15 and PMC10-4 — each a fully active three-way design based on PMC’s new driver platform and ATL archi- tecture. All can be used as standalone full-range monitors or expanded with matching XBD cabinets, which add a dedicated LF enclosure for increased bass headroom and system scalability. {pmc-speakers.com/studio}

XVIVE M5 WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEM Xvive’s M5 Wireless Microphone Sys- tem integrates a new proprietary high- quality dynamic microphone design with Xvive’s 5.8 GHz wireless technology. The Microphone/Transmitter features a swappable mic head that is compatible with equivalents from most top micro- phone brands. The Receiver connects via XLR input to any mixer, interface or other audio device. Each Mic/Transmitter and Receiver set is “factory pre-paired,” so out of the box, powering both on connects them automatically on “auto mode.” Auto mode scans the local RF environment and selects the best available frequen- cies, ensuring a stable wireless connec- tion. For typical single-set use, Channel 0 is recommended, but there are also six fixed-frequency channels to choose from. After wirelessly linking the units, the M5 Receiver can be plugged into any XLR mic input on a device, like a mixer, pow- ered speaker or audio interface. {xvive.com}
