Hal Leonard has released Spanish-language editions of its “Essential Elements for Band” and “Essential Elements for Strings” methods, ex- panding access to music education for Spanish-speaking students. Ac- cording to recent estimates, approximately 15% of U.S. students come from Spanish-speaking households, and about half of those — roughly 8% of all students — are classified as English language learners. These Spanish editions provide an additional resource for teachers and fami- lies working to help students succeed both in the classroom and during practice at home. Each book was translated by native Spanish-speak- ing musicians to ensure musical accuracy and clarity.
