If you’re asked to participate, participate. If you’re asked to do a session, do a session. If you’re asked to be on a board, be on a board. That’s how we’ve learned and built the relationships that have been vital to growing this business. You have to participate, give back and be willing to share. People in other industries always say, ‘You’re going to a convention to share all your secrets?’ And I say, ‘Well, yeah, that’s just what we do in this industry. And that has been so important to our growth.” THE HEARTBEAT OF THE COMMUNITY One way Beacock Music has grown has been by creating a hub where its local com- munity can gather.
