VINTAGE FRET DANCER 6-12 STRING The Vintage series of Fret Dancer 6-12 string acoustic and electro acoustic guitars designed by the late Paul Brett are now available. The new Vintage Fret Dancer series instruments have been launched in honor of the late John Joyce, a legend on the British folk and blues music scene, who dedicated his career to the 12-string guitar. The guitars feature a tonewood combination of mahogany for the full-bodied ivory bound backs and sides and aged, open-pore solid spruce tops, slot- ted headstocks, 20-fret rosewood fingerboards joining the body at the 14th fret, decorative abalone soundhole rosettes, bone nuts and saddles, and rosewood bridges with en- graved tailpieces. {jhs.co.uk}
YAMAHA FS9 ACOUSTIC GUITARS Yamaha has launched its new FS9 acoustic guitars. The FS9 R (pic- tured) features an Indian rosewood body, while the FS9 M boasts an African mahogany body. Both instruments feature solid Adirondack spruce tops with tapered edges, providing structural strength while also letting the body vibrate more efficiently for a combina- tion that contributes to the guitar’s overall power and sensitivity.
