RISING WITH THE TIDES Drum manufacturers at The 2025 NAMM Show followed market demands by leaning into more innovative designs. — By Ed Enright D ixon’s profile has been on the rise since the brand began building its product

For example, our Artisan Select PMT channels the clar- ity and projection of silkwood through double-cut 45-degree bearing edges to achieve optimal versatility. The drums are aesthetically breathtaking, utilizing

the harvested skin of the paper mulberry tree in a three-layered, lacquer-laminate- lacquer finish treatment. Of course, the main attraction for Dixon at this show is how good they sound even in a room like this.” Elevating the one-of-a-kind appearance of the Artisan Select series was the highly functional Gibraltar racks and accessories that Dixon includes with the shell packs. “We are now a Gibraltar distributor, so we’re showing our Dixon kits on custom Gibraltar racks, and this is subsequently
