PEARL DECLARES ‘WE ALL SHINE TOGETHER’ DURING 80TH ANNIVERSARY BOOTH PARTY

P earl Drums held an 80th anniversary celebration at its booth on Jan. 22 and imparted that “we all shine together” in gratitude to its dealers, suppliers, artists and employees. “Our founder, Katsumi Yanagisawa, started the company in 1946 in Tokyo during the very difficult post-World War II years with a spirit of determination, re- silience and creativity. [That] spirit still guides us today,” said Max Iishi, Pearl Drums’ president and CEO. “The last 80 years have brought us so many challenges: changing markets, new technologies, shifting expectations, but Pearl has always believed that standing still means falling behind. So, that belief has kept us moving forward, improving and innovating.” Iishi gave recognition to four iconic drummers who have been part of the Pearl family for 40 years: Dennis Chambers,
