Martin Guitar has released two new Johnny Marr signature guitars, the M-6 Johnny Marr and M-7 Johnny Marr, unit- ing the craftsmanship of Martin and the artistry of the Smiths’ guitarist. The Martin M-7 features a unique seven-string con- figuration, adding an octave G string to the mix. This design delivers Marr’s unmistakable jangle, making it ideal for repli- cating the lush, intricate sounds of his most famous tracks. Also available as a standard six-string model, the M-6, and designed in close collaboration with Marr, these guitars fea- ture a mahogany neck with a full-thickness profile and slightly thinner width at the nut for a unique feel. {martinguitar.com}

RELIK Solar Guitars has expanded its Chop Shop production of guitars finished and assembled at its facility in Spain. The new release is named Relik since it features a worn and torn finish. The finishing process is extensive with many stages that include Nitro-lacquer primer and finish, sanding, cutting, scraping and burning to achieve the worn results. Once the distressed elements are completed, assembly commences with the roasted maple three- piece neck fitted with Solar locking tuners and a Floyd Rose bridge. {solar-guitars.com}
