DANELECTRO FIFTY NINE GUITAR SERIES

Danelectro has introduced its Fifty Niner Guitar series. Avail- able in three colors — Gold Top, Red Top and Jade Top — the new guitars are trimmed with cream binding. The guitars’ sides, back and neck are finished in Dark Chocolate. The new electric guitars also boast a short horn, double-cutaway body profile and retain the classic Dano art-deco guise . {danelectro.com}

GIBSON GIBSON THEODORE STANDARD The Gibson Theodore Stan- dard is based on a guitar design sketched in 1957 and was only previously available as a limited-edition Gibson Custom model that sold out in 2022 as part of the Gibson Archive Collec- tion. Now, 67 years later, Gibson has introduced the Theodore Standard. Inspired by original drawings from 1957, the Gibson Theodore Standard features a mahogany body, scimitar headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, that provide unimpeded access to all 22 frets on the rosewood-capped, SlimTaper mahogany neck. {gibson.com} and striking double Florentine cutaways

JACKSON ADAM BLACKSTONE ‘GLADYS’ JACKSON PRO SERIES BASS The Adam Blackstone “Gladys” Jackson Pro Series Signature Concert Bass is a modern take on a legendary Jackson shape. Carefully designed with features to meet the needs of the artist. The model’s name is a celebration to the multi-instrumentalist’s grandmother: Mrs. Gladys Jackson. This 34-inch-scale bass pairs a resonant poplar body and graphite-reinforced bolt-on neck design to generate formidable sustain, while the custom neck profile and 9-inch to 16-inch compound radius maple fin- gerboard and 21 jumbo frets make for comfortable playability. At the heart of this five-string bass is custom Jackson BBE J-style pickups, voiced to the artist specifications, paired with an active three-band EQ circuit to dial in the ideal tone . {jacksonguitars.com}

ELRICK BASS GUITARS HEADLESS SERIES Elrick Bass Guitars has added a headless option to its hand-carved series of bass guitars. Initially previewed on the 2023 Gold Series SLC MkII bass of prolific solo bass practitioner and educator Steve Lawson, a headless bass option is now available to all. To date, Elrick instruments have only been offered with traditional headstock construc- tion but, in response to market demand, custom features will now include a headless option in four-, five- and six-string models. {elrick.com}
