Ortega’s Private Room Series Pushes Nylon String Boundaries The Ortega Guitars’ Private Room series pushes the boundaries of nylon-string guitar craftsmanship and aesthetics. The new GRANDGUITAR and GRANDGUITAR-CE feature hand-select- ed tonewoods and custom-crafted details, including a second side soundhole. These are paired with mother-of-pearl inlays on the fretboard and body purfling. Their unique character is achieved through strip inlays on the sides and back, crafted from flamed maple, complemented by a solid rosewood armrest. Both guitars feature a solid European surplice top with a gloss finish and a rose- wood back and sides with flamed maple stripes. The fretboard and bridge are both made of rosewood. $ Ortega Guitars (ortegaguitars.com)
