Ashun Sound Machines (ASM) has expanded its lineup with the Diosynth, a highly expressive wind synthesizer that combines a deep synthesis engine with a sample playback engine to blend the best of acoustic and electronic sounds. Diosynth’s sound engine is based on ASM’s Hydrasynth with the addition of a sample playback oscillator, provid- ing endless possibilities for sound creation and design. Users can blend realistic acoustic instruments—like a Harmon-muted trumpet or Peruvian bamboo flute—with Hydrasynth’s wavescan oscillators, all processed through a 16-mode filter to create rich hybrid tones. It can also layer or split two sounds at once, combining four Hydrasynth oscillators and two sample-based voices
